Jim Hollis, President and COO of Geothermal Technologies, Inc. (GTI) presented the company’s innovative approach to geothermal power production at a Darcy Partners member meeting today.
GTI was founded in 2018 based on technology developed at the Johns Hopkins University. Since that time, the company has been operating in “stealth mode” as it worked to further develop and advance its novel technologies.
“We have been waiting until we were comfortable that our Intellectual Property was properly secured before discussing our approach with the outside world”, says J. Gary McDaniel, CEO of GTI. “Jim’s invitation to present to Darcy Partners’ esteemed customers is our coming-out party”.
“The ‘stealth mode’ approach has been challenging as we have been anxious to move forward to commercialization”, says Jim Hollis. “However, it has proven to be worthwhile as we have been making great advances without a lot of distraction. We have been doing our homework and focusing on de-risking our approach. We believe that we are light-years ahead of our competition and are now drill-bit ready.”
Currently, GTI has 4 issued patents and 9 patents pending protecting its Intellectual Property. (Information updated January 2022).
